Can you help?

Britain in Bloom focuses on Community involvement, Conservation and Environment, with only half the points allocated for the floral displays. To demonstrate this we need to build teams of helpers - not just the green fingered variety!
So, if you have a talent for woodwork, art and design, photography, can add muscle for the heavier work required, sponsor a tree or display, research history, provide transport or want to consider a local initiative to improve your part of the village, do let us know, using our contact form
Our next meeting, open to all interested villagers, is on Monday 15th January 2018, 7.30 in the village hall, if there is anything you would like discussed there contact Gina by email on cribsomerset@gmail.com or call 01458 762296.

Potato growing competition

CRiB is organising a competition to grow potatoes in a bucket. This is to raise funds for our floral displays, but should also be good fun.
For further details click on the <Potato Competition> tab on this web site, or download the entry form here.
There will be prizes for Juniors (12 and under) and Seniors (anyone over 13, including adults).
Planting kits will be available in February and judging will take place in August.

CRiB Takes On An Allotment

Annette(L) with Jenny Potts,
Allotment Association Secretary
CRiB — the Curry Rivel in Bloom Group, has acquired at no cost an allotment at Heale Lane. Treasurer Annette Stein took possession from Jenny Potts on 3rd Nov 2017.
How it looks now - Nov 2017
The plot is down to grass at present but possible future uses may include the building of community composting bins, nursery beds and raised beds, maybe even a polytunnel.
If you can think of a good way of using the allotment to further the work of CRiB or you can help generally, email cribsomerset@gmail.com or use the contact form on this site.
